			In Suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any Court of the United States, than according to the rules of the common law. Information is below>>				Right Explained: The founding fathers included this amendment to protect citizens against the government harassing or oppressing them.  This amendment governs civil or lawsuit cases.  It says that if the controversy exceeds $20, (about 40 days pay back then) then you have the right for a jury to decide your case.  This protects people against having the government handing out excessive fines or law suiting people to oppress them.
