    Macbeth is st= uck in restless ecstasy when he becomes king. He is ecstatic that he has achieved= his dream. However, the violence he used can be just as easily be used against him. Macbeth knows this in Act 1 Scene 7, "we but teach bloody instructions, which, being taught, return to plague th’ inventor." Although Macbeth is ecstatic that he has achieved his goal, he must consta= ntly look behind his shoulder to make sure he does not meet the same end as Dun= can.
